Whew, that was a mouthful!
Etude House recently released a new line of limited edition products on the first week of April 2016. It’s called the Berry Delicious collection and every single item in it is so cute and delicious-looking! Included in the collection are eyeshadow palettes, lip products, cream blushes, mascaras, nail colors, and an ultra-cute BB Cushion. All of which look and smell like berries!
I’ve been looking for a lip tint that would work for my dry lips for quite some time now. It’s been kind of frustrating that most liquid or gel lip/cheek tints just don’t work for my dry lips. Yes, there are gorgeous colors available, but most just settle into the cracks in my lips, making them look more horrible than usual! So I just had to check out the new Color In Liquid Lips Juicy (SRP PHP 598) from this collection. I got the shade 33 PK014.
Here’s my review:
| Safety: I checked the list of ingredients on the Etude House website and I’m happy to say that none of the main ingredients raised red flags at EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetic Database. Plus, it has many fruit extracts (cranberry, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry) and even coffee seed extract. It does have a mild fruity bubble-gummy smell not everyone might like (but I do!).
This product gets a full star for safety!
|Ingredients List (source: http://www.etudehouse.com/index.php/berry-delicious-color-in-liquid-lips-juicy.html):
Sturdiness: I think I’ve already expressed my partiality for the cute packaging of this collection. That said, it does look like it will travel well. The tube is made of plastic, not glass. It’s lightweight, too. The cap closes securely so there’s little chance of the product spilling into your purse.
I also like the applicator of this product. Unlike other tints, this has a slanted tip for easier application.
I grant this lippie a star for good packaging.
Value for Money: This costs PHP 598.00–to be honest, a lot more than what I would usually pay for a lip product. Still, it’s the best lip tint I’ve tried in a while.
My bare, unprepped lips are really dry. I applied the Etude House Berry Delicious Color in Liquid Lips Juicy #33 PK014 on top, and my lips become magically moisturized, with a lovely pink tint! I put it to the test by snacking on a pear and a cup of yogurt. After three hours, there’s still a tint to my lips and they still feel moisturized.
Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. I give it half a star because it might not be as affordable as other lippies, but it is unique in a lot of ways.
True to Claims: It says on the box, “The moisturizing strawberry moisture softly melts on the lips, with the sweet and sour color expressing juicy, wet lips.”
…I think it does that (though I’m not sure how color can be sweet and sour? lol). I do get juicy, wet lips and an added bonus is that it actually tints the lips for a long time without drying.

TBG-Approved: Yes, I highly recommend Etude House’s Berry Delicious Color in Liquid Lips Juicy to anyone looking for a high-quality lip tint/gloss, if the price is not too objectionable. At the very least, try it out at your nearest Etude House branch. 🙂
FINAL TALLY: 6.5 out of 7 stars
